This master bathroom got a complete overhaul! The client wanted to ditch the dated 80s vibe and create a sleek, modern black and white retreat. We demoed the old tub to make way for the star of the show: a spacious, custom 6-foot walk-in shower. For a clean and bright feel, we used white subway tile for the shower walls, and opted for a touch of luxury with white penny round mosaic tile for the shower floor. Now, for the drama! We created a bold contrast on the bathroom floor with black hexagon tile, and continued that black accent throughout a niche inside the shower. To really make the black pop, we used white grout for the floor – a classic design touch. The homeowner loved their existing vanity, so we gave it a new lease on life. We installed a crisp white solid surface countertop that ties in beautifully with the white tile. To complete the modern look, we swapped out the old hardware for new, sleek pieces that tie the whole design together. This bathroom remodel is a great example of how you can update a space dramatically while still reusing some existing elements.
